Industry veterans Curt Hayes, Doug Dodd, and Chad Modad of Audio Designs, have founded BlueDog Data Services, a new company that they said will provide CEDIA and InfoComm channel integrators with process, procedures, and standards necessary to compete, grow, and remain profitable as the market continues to evolve.
The core of BlueDog’s business services will be offering complete and accurate data for popular proposal software applications. Those applications currently rely on an ad-hoc group of manufacturers, admin staff, sales people, project managers, and system designers that create thousands of individual databases with no form of coordination or communication, the company explained. BlueDog’s data will be based on a “field-tested and proven model” that it said will increase efficiency and profitability for integrators.
“We have seen how excited integrators get about their new proposal systems then are unable to fully utilize those tools because of inaccurate, incomplete and inconsistent data,” Curt Hayes, chief executive officer of BlueDog Data Services, said in a statement. “BlueDog Data Services can bring a secure cloud-based database to those dealers that includes defined and consistent product categories and installation times for all of their manufacturers’ products allowing dealers to quickly and easily provide accurate proposals for their prospective customers.”
BlueDog Data Services will be on hand at the 2015 CEDIA Expo at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas this week, where they will provide more information about services the company will offer.
