In light of the coronavirus situation, CEDIA, saying it is heeding recent reports from public health officials, is cancelling its 2020 Tech Summits beginning at the end of March and through mid-April.

The following Summits are being cancelled: Woodland Hills, CA – March 31; Irvine, CA – April 2; Dallas, TX – April 14; and Houston, TX – April 16.

“The health and safety of our staff and anyone planning to attend our events is of the utmost importance to CEDIA,” said a statement from the organization issued on March 13. “As such, we believe this is the most prudent action to take at this time. CEDIA is working with venues to reschedule the Texas and California events and will communicate new dates as they are confirmed.”

The statement goes on to say that, as of March 13, the remaining 2020 Tech Summits will take place as scheduled. It further says that, given the situation’s fluidity, should additional cancellations or reschedulings be needed, all relevant participants and attendees will be notified.
