This week, CEDIA announced that it entered into a partnership with the Design Leadership Network in an effort to “promote growth and professional practices in the high-end residential and related hospitality design markets.” The organizations will work together in creating educational opportunities for members, while also broadening the networks for CEDIA members and DLN’s membership base of interior designers, architects, landscape architects, and design brands.

“Working with the Design Leadership Network aligns with our strategy to build awareness among the design and build industry of the resource CEDIA members can be to their projects.  We look forward to leveraging a number of opportunities that will open up further business opportunities for our members,” Giles Sutton, senior vice president of industry engagement for CEDIA, said in a statement. “We are excited about our partnership with this far-reaching organization.”

As part of the partnership, CEDIA will be attending DLN’s Partner Forum in New York City on June 4, where the organization’s corporate and media partners gather to exchange ideas and opportunities. There, DLN will introduce CEDIA and what they bring to the table in the way of home technology.

“The intersection of design and technology in residential design is an essential topic today,” Peter Sallick, founder and co-host, Design Leadership Network, said in the statement. “We are excited to bring our design professionals together with CEDIA members to explore the potential for fully integrated and highly functional interiors.”

Chris Pyle, VP of marketing and industry relations for CEDIA, said that the DLN is just one of several ways that the association is working to build awareness within the home building and design audience.

“We are finding that design and build professionals are hungry to learn about technology. We had an incredibly successful show at Design and Construction Week 2019. We presented 4 courses, sat on 6 panel sessions, and hosted 10 CEDIA Talks in the CEDIA Booth,” she said. “CEDIA is continuing that education effort with a series of design and technology summits that will provide continuing education opportunities to design and build professionals. These efforts combined with our successful CEDIA Outreach Instructor program are ensuring that the CEDIA message is reaching this audience in more ways than ever before.”
