Pro Control announced the launch of a new two-way driver that integrates DISH’s Hopper Whole-Home HD DVR. With the driver, integrators will be able to provide customers with control over “one of the industry’s leading video entertainment platforms,” Pro Control said.
“The feature-rich Hopper entertainment platform is the perfect addition to Pro Control’s control system lineup,” Frank DeFilippis, DISH manager of channel programs, said in a statement. “This integration will allow Pro Control’s partners to deploy reliable control of our award-winning entertainment technology, including our upcoming 4K Joey, while delivering a great customer experience.”
Pro Control’s DISH Hopper driver utilizes control via IP for integration with other Pro Control products, the company explained. Built-in auto discovery tools find receivers on the network, which speeds up the installation process for integrators. Further, the Hopper lets users record up to six shows at one, store up to 2,000 hours of content, watch live TV, and record on the go with the DISH Anywhere app, Pro Control said.
“Our new DISH driver makes it incredibly easy for integrators to connect users to a whole new range of entertainment possibilities,” said Mike Everett, general manager of Pro Control. “Like the rest of our two-way driver library, this recent innovation sustains our company’s commitment to simplicity, reliability, and an intuitive customer experience, streamlining the integration of the market’s most impressive third-party products.”
