Residential and commercial A/V integration furniture maker Salamander Designs has introduced its line of Unifi Conference Tables, a new series of six-to-16-foot tables built on an aluminum C-frame design and equipped with an innovative pedestal that allows virtually all wiring, power supplies, A/V components and cables to be hidden yet easily accessible in liftoff panels for servicing. The tables are available with a wide array of finishes, designs and edges, and include antimicrobial, soft-to-the-touch super matte, fingerprint-resistant surface finishes for enhanced aesthetics and protection.

Along with the announcement, Salamander says that the tables are being awarded a 2020 Commercial Integrator BEST Award, which was chosen by independent voting by a panel of judges and the editors of Commercial Integrator Magazine.

“Before entering this category, we wanted to understand the many challenges that today’s businesses, A/V Integrators, Facilities Teams and Designers encounter, so that we could devise a total solution that was very Salamander,” said Salvatore Carrabba, founder and president of Salamander Designs. “We cooperated with the leading A/V control manufacturer to address their requirements while adding our unique design. This was the genesis of the new flexible, ultra-functional table system.”

The tables come in small, medium and large sizes and feature the ability for customers to design and meet their individual aesthetic and technology needs. Multiple Salamander favorite options are available for ports, connectors, chargers and cable cubbies. Equipment and cabling is neatly concealed within the robust pedestals, and all is serviceable through elegant lift off panels, making the installer’s job faster and easier.

Also, with the “new normal” workplace safety concerns, Salamander has added antimicrobial surfaces and paint, certified through Biosan Laboratories Inc. Products can be precisely customized for each client, including ability to match other furniture.

With the new tables, Salamander Designs also overcame major obstacles that industry tech giant Crestron had encountered. Bob Bavolacco, director, technology partner programs for Crestron, summarized the outcome saying, “This is exciting! Salamander Design’s rapid development, market strategy, and continued commitment to our partnership is what allow us to provide our mutual end-clients with perfectly paired technology and workplace solution setting. Additionally, we see global need for their conference table solutions.”

“Prior to COVID-19, we were seeing an increase in smaller huddle rooms that were being video enabled. Today, our enterprise integrators and customers are often accommodating larger spaces to allow for fewer people sitting at safe distances,” said Scott Srolis, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Salamander Designs. “The beauty of Salamander is that our company and our furniture can quickly adapt to these ever-changing needs.”

Each Unifi Conference Table is Made in the USA in Salamander’s 100% solar-powered factory and backed by the company’s standard Lifetime Warranty. For long-term deployment that assures future compatibility, adaptable tables can be re-skinned to match changes in office environment.

The tables are now available to authorized Salamander resellers and may be designed by Salamander’s in-house team, ordered and quick shipped.
