Can we say that 2016 was a sort of transition year for most of us? For our team at NAPCO Media and CT Lab (the parent division of Technology Integrator and Dealerscope) it definitely was. Our team has gone through substantial changes in the past six months. We’ve reevaluated where we can provide the most value for our audience. So what’s the plan?

Digital as Primary

We have released the last printed edition of Technology Integrator. Why is this important? This means we can be more nimble on our coverage, bringing the most relevant stories to you, even quicker. This also means that we will be creating new features, awards, and highlights to bring to you digitally. Our site and newsletter will also be getting additional refreshes over the next year to ensure that you have the best experience possible.

The IMPACT Awards

We transformed our awards program – putting the voting into the audiences’ hands. Over 2,000 of you voted for the products that had the biggest impact on your projects. And we will continue to ask you for your support in 2017. Why is this important? Because far too often awards are ‘pay for play’ – and those only provide value to the person taking money. This is about giving our audience the voice to our manufacturers – and believe us, they are listening.

CEMBLY

Mailing in January, the new sister publication of Technology Integrator, CEMBLY, will be a print and digital publication (featured here on TI) aimed at showcasing the best jobs in the home installation community, including who created them, how they did it and what they used. In the coming months, we will be reaching out to each of you to help us make this exciting new brand a reality.

As we shut the door on what’s been an eventful and productive 2016, we look forward to working with all of you throughout the industry next year!
